The roofs of the church of Vétheuil are made of polychromic glazed tiles. This type of roofing "à la bourguignonne" is not specific to Burgundy although it is widely used.

The bell tower was built in the 12th century. The enlargement of the church carried out in the 13th century under the reign of Saint Louis (King of France from 1226 to 1270) soon proved to be too ambitious.
